Soup & Cinema | 12 PM - 2 PM

Welcome to Soup & Cinema! Take a midday break with a warm bowl of soup and a taste of Nordic storytelling. Each lunchtime screening features a Swedish or Nordic film, served alongside a comforting, house-made soup. Culture and comfort—served daily.

Film Screening: Elina - Som om jag inte fanns / As If I Wasn't There

Directed by award winning Finnish director Klaus Härö, Elina takes place in 1950s northern Sweden, nine-year-old Elina struggles with the loss of her father and finds comfort imagining conversations with him on the dangerous marshlands. After recovering from tuberculosis, she must repeat a school year under the strict teacher Tora Holm, who punishes students for speaking Finnish. When Elina stands up against this injustice, a quiet battle of wills unfolds — one that comes to a crisis when Elina flees alone into the moor.

Featured Menu: Swedish split pea soup, rustic bread, and fika (dessert + coffee)
