About Speaker: Even Johansen, Founder & Winemaker, Dalset & Sylvi Wines
Named for his family's historic farm in Norway, Dalset is Even Johansen's premium wine label—a tribute to his Scandinavian heritage and the values that have shaped his journey as a winemaker. From the fjords of Norway to the vineyards of Washington State, Even's path has been guided by a passion for craftsmanship, quality, and a deep connection to his family's roots.
After studying enology and viticulture in Walla Walla, Even gained experience with some of Washington's most respected wineries, including Bergevin Lane, Charles Smith Wines, K Vintners, UpsideDown Wines, and the legendary Screaming Eagle Winery in Napa Valley. He is also the founder of Sylvi Wines, a boutique winery known for expressive, small-lot wines and labels featuring his own original artwork.
Tonight, Even will share the story behind Dalset, his family's Norwegian legacy, and the experiences that have shaped his approach to winemaking—from Scandinavia to Washington wine country.
