Join us for a special evening celebrating Jenny Lind, the beloved “Swedish Nightingale,” and her remarkable legacy of music, artistry, and philanthropy.

The evening’s program will explore Lind’s extraordinary life and career, featuring remarks from Kevin Hugh Lynch, a narrator, 19th-century historian, and archivist, along with a special performance by our very own Swedish Club employee, Abby Smith. Abby is a classically trained opera singer who has performed at Benaroya Hall and Carnegie Hall and has sung with the Seattle Symphony, the Wellspring Ensemble, and other Seattle-area ensembles. She trained at Central Washington University and Cornish College of the Arts and, when she’s not on stage, can often be found behind the bar in the 3 Crowns Lounge. Abby will be accompanied on piano by Silas Berlin.
Light refreshments will be available, with wine and beer available for purchase. The event is free with RSVP, and donations are gratefully accepted at the door or online.
